Newport Beach attorney Shane E. Coons is a lifelong outdoor enthusiast and enjoys surfing, road and mountain biking, swimming, running, playing water polo, hiking, and camping.  Mr. Coons represents environmentally-conscious companies in protecting their interests and resolving disputes.

Throughout his 18-year legal career, attorney Coons has represented individuals and businesses navigating numerous issues, including contract and all forms of business disputes, fraud, intellectual property, insurance, and negligence.

Mr. Coons has also represented clients on all forms of simple and complex real estate litigation, including lender representation, landlord-tenant problems, purchase and sale, quiet title, partition, trespass, nuisance, and mechanic’s liens.  In fact, Mr. Coons was a property manager for large complexes before he went to law school.

Mr. Coons is also highly experienced in every form of California alternative dispute resolution (ADR), whether voluntary or court-ordered, including Mediation, Arbitration, and Judicial Reference, and highly experienced in civil discovery, motion practice, settlements, trial, and appeal.  Mr. Coons is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in California.

Mr. Coons knows that smaller businesses seldom receive the level of representation that big business can afford. He is dedicated to bringing superior legal service to smaller businesses looking to fold their legal needs in with their environmental and health awareness.

Mr. Coons is a graduate of Stanford University and Loyola (LA) Law School. He was a member of the water polo team at Stanford, an Editor of the Loyola Los Angeles Law Review, and volunteers with Surfrider Foundation.
